The official iTunes YouTube app has been updated to display HDR video on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

HDR content was also available on iPhone X last year, but we needed an update to be able to update with Apple's latest device. Sadly, there are still no options in the video at 4K.

Google is updating Apple's latest applications for iOS devices quickly. The most popular product received support of iPhone X in the months of the big debut of iPhone last November. Today, we are developing new releases to support iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

YouTube has been updated for iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max

Most applications will work well with the latest iPhone lineup, but there are things that require some adjustment. YouTube needed an update before displaying HDR video on the iPhone XS screen. And now you can download it from the App Store.

It supports higher resolutions with the latest iPhone display, but the picture quality of the video is still 1080p. In other words, you can not enjoy content with 2K or 4K resolution. If you are using Safari, the same restrictions apply on iPad, Apple TV, and even Mac.

Nonetheless, YouTube videos look brilliant in full HD with HDR enabled. They are ideal for displaying the edge, edge, super and retuner screens of the iPhone that supports the latest HDR 10 standard.
