Uber announced Friday that users in select US cities will be able to book trips by the hour next week. The measure is designed to help users make essential long journeys such as going to grocery stores, pharmacies and to the doctor (via Reuters) In one time.
Uber on time
Starting June 2, an hourly rate of $ 50 will be available for users from Atlanta (GA), Chicago (Il), Washington DC, Dallas (TX), Houston (TX), Miami (FL), Orlando (FL ), Tampa Bay (FL), Philadelphia (PA), Phoenix (AZ), Tacoma (WA) and Seattle (WA). Uber decided to introduce the measure because users wanted a way to extend journeys, rather than being exposed to multiple vehicles and drivers if they had to go to different places during the same journey. The option is already available in some cities in Australia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. It will be available in other US cities in the coming weeks.
