A Motherboard report today reveals that a leaked version of iOS 14 has been circulating in the hacking and security community since at least February. Sources claim that someone bought an iOS 14 development iPhone 11 from a Chinese supplier in December 2019.
“It sucks,” said a current Apple employee, who was unaware of the leak. Another current Apple employee told Motherboard that they had spoken to other employees referring to the leaks. The two employees asked to remain anonymous because they were not allowed to speak to the press. A cybersecurity industry source said his team had this leaked version of iOS 14 and were studying it.
Like Will Strafach, I too feel bad for whom Apple is raining fire.
