When tvOS 12 is released for Apple TV later this year, Apple upgrades compatible movies purchased from iTunes for free with Dolby Atmos support when using Dolby Atmos speakers.
Apple also used this same strategy when upgrading iTunes movies for 4K and HDR. Also, tvOS 12 creates Apple TV 4K as the only streaming box that works with both Dolby Vision's high dynamic range image quality and Dolby Atmos's immersive sound.
The response to Dolby Atmos's iTunes movie has become sporadic throughout the summer, but this week's immersive audio format is much more popular without using the VUDU application as a workaround.
Both the purchased title and iTunes movie store listings now have support for Dolby Atmos. In the title of Dolby Atmos Baby Driver, Blade Runner 2049, Dead pool 2, Justice League, Peter Rabbit, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Suicide squad, etc.
When Siri searches for "Please show movies at Dolby Atmos", Siri will reply to the list of movies saying "Dolby Atmos will be wonderful", but you need to open each title in the iTunes movie. We will use compatibility with Dolby Atmos.
Dolby Atmos works with Apple TV 4K and Dolby Atmos compatible speakers and receivers.
