Apple’s new AirPods Pro are packed with new features, and it can be a little overwhelming to make sure you take advantage of everything it has to offer.
Let’s talk about the basics of using AirPods Pro.
First, control the playback. Apple abandoned the tapping gesture for the Pro and replaced it with force sensors in the rods. A short press is enough to control your music or video.
A single compression plays / pauses the current content. Two compressions will go to the next track and a triple compression will go back.
The highlight function – active noise cancellation (ANC) – can be toggled by pressing and holding one of the rods of AirPods Pro for a long time until an audio chime confirms the mode change .
The “Hey Siri” support is there, allowing you to call the virtual assistant with the key phrase.
Battery life can be checked by opening the case near your iPhone, as well as from the battery widget in the Today view. If you have an Apple, tapping the battery icon in the Control Center will also get the life of your AirPods Pro battery. Siri can also play a role if you choose to go hands-free.
Make it your own
AirPods Pro can be personalized and widely personalized. Adjustments range from adjustment, controls, to use on all your devices.
Customizing the fit is crucial. With incorrect adjustment, the audio quality will suffer. Instead of relying on your initial perception, a quick test will give you a better idea of the helmet’s waterproofness using the internal microphone.
Head toward settings, Bluetoothand find your AirPods Pro. Press the I next to them when connected. Then just press the fit test. Apple recommends trying all three sizes and trying different sizes on different ears. When exchanging the silicone tips, pay attention to the orientation as they are not a circle, but rather an oval.
Several sizes can be tested correctly, so it’s up to you to decide which one is more comfortable.
AirPods Pro Settings Menu
In this same settings menu, you can do much more. For example, you can change the name of your AirPods Pro.
You can also adjust the controls for each of the AirPods Pro headphones. You can choose between Siri or noise control and if you choose noise control, it will alternate between transparency, ANC and off – or any combination of these three. These can be configured differently for each ear. So maybe the right switches ANC and the left switches transparency or maybe the right is configured for noise control and the left is configured for Siri.
Finally, in these settings, you can also choose the microphone you prefer. AirPods Pro automatically chooses the microphone that it thinks best, but you can always set it as default on either.
