Still launches HomeKit support to its entry-level DIY home security system

The mansion was the first to launch HomeKit support for a DIY home security system last fall with the Iota Safety Kit, its flagship offering. Now the company is bringing HomeKit at its entry model, the Smart Safety Kit to give even more customers access to the convenience and security of Apple’s smart home platform.

The remains of the Iota Safety Kit (review), which was the first to gain HomeKit features a platform that integrates the gateway, camera, motion sensor, and siren. To be the flagship of the Remains of the product, it costs more at $219.

This is why it is great to see the company roll HomeKit support to its more affordable system, the Smart Security Kit that starts at $179. It is more simple hub that the functionality of the gateway and the siren with cameras and motion sensors are available as add-ons.

Remains chief executive officer, Chris Carney shared some thoughts on the latest HomeKit update:

If you aly have a gen 2 Remains Smart Security Kit, check the firmware update that will allow you to integrate with Apple’s smart home platform. HomeKit support for the gen 1 Smart Kit Security systems is under review by Apple “will be available upon certification completion to ensure that all customers can use all of the home security kit with their Apple devices.”

With this update, we continue to fulfill this promise, so that all still users will have access to the convenience, the privacy and the security that comes with HomeKit and the peace of mind in their home security system.
