For wireless charging, Samsung may eventually beat Apple in Apple's own game.
In the keynote speech of today 's Galaxy Note 9, Samsung revealed that he created a knock – off version of Apple' s AirPower charging mat. Even though Apple revealed AirPower last year, Samsung's release is nowhere, Samsung is ready to grab the opportunity to ship first.

There are several differences between Apple's AirPower and Samsung Wireless Charger Duo. Using AirPower, you can place the iPhone or Apple Watch anywhere on the pad and charging begins. In the case of Samsung, you need to put your Android phone in the spot of the designated phone and the clock in that place.
Apple's AirPower needs more difficult technology of Samsung. Several insiders have reported that AirPower is behind due to overheating problems.
Since Samsung has not announced the price and release date of the wireless charger duo yet, there is plenty of possibility that Apple will still be on the market. Apple usually announces a new iPhone lineup in September keynote. Hopefully we will eventually get the release date of the AirPower charge mat during a big event.
