Your iPhone Photos and Videos, Camera Tricks 1 to Improve

In this article, we will review some tips, tricks, and hidden iPhone camera features for beginners and intermediate photographers. There is something on this list for every type of photographer.

This is a snippet of information and tools provided from our new training service, Picture 101, where all the pictures in the workshop were created using the iPhone only and edited in Lightroom Mobile.

For most of these trainings, you will need a mobile phone with features such as night mode, portrait mode, and angle lenses, which are often incorporated into newer models. The examples shown in this article are taken on the iPhone 11 Pro Max, however, the built-in extensions extend beyond your mobile phone only and to any camera you have at hand.

1. Adjust the Display

Like a DSLR or mirrorless camera, built-in phone features and camera functions allow you to reduce or increase your exposure settings. If you are using the built-in iPhone camera you will be able to tap any part of your event and drag your finger up and down (using the sun icon) to enter the desired display. There are mobile phone photography applications that allow you to type in analog camera settings such as Aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Our favorite phone camera application is Camera Pro by Time which we will mention a lot in this article.
