9to5Mac reports that Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu has named a specific model as referenced in a report earlier this week: Nikkei Asia reported this week that Apple and its manufacturers are struggling with the production of the iPhone 14 due to COVID locks 19 in China. Now Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu has shed more light on this story by saying that the production of the iPhone 14 Max has been delayed by three weeks. As mentioned on Thursday, the “at least one” iPhone 14 model is facing production delays that could see short offers at launch. Thankfully, the delay is not expected to delay the upcoming release of the iPhone in its normal September window.
The report goes on to say that Pu said Apple will make 91 million versions of the iPhone 14 by the end of the year despite this production delay, much more than the estimated 84 million Apple versions of the best iPhone, the iPhone 13 a year past. Pegatron is named as the first manufacturer of the ‘Max’ iPhone 14 in the report. As expected Apple is expected to drop its weak iPhone in favor of a new 6.7-inch phone that does not feature Apple’s ‘Pro’ iPhone features, namely a new processor and a punch camera that replaces the hardcore .
