Two people were arrested Friday in Gurugram on charges of stealing an iPhone from a local landlord in the New Colony area, police said. The plaintiff was released on bail a week ago and received a phone call from Rohit Gupta on Thursday.
A motorcycle, a skooty, a stolen cell, and Rs 50,000 were recovered from their property, police said. The plaintiffs have been identified as Rahul alias ‘Attack’, a resident of Jyoti Park village, and Jatin Chutani, a resident of Arjun Nagar village.
Both have been found to be involved in incidents of robbery, assault, possession of a firearm, and drug use. They were released on bail in a medical case, police said. “The plaintiffs not only confiscated the mobile but also transferred Rs 50,000 to them through a mobile application.
“A FIR was registered yesterday and today both the complainants have been arrested, who have confessed to the crime. We are asking them, ”said Rajesh Yadav, SHO New Colony Police Station.
Yadav said they also seized two vehicles, Jagat and Bunty. A motorcycle was stolen on April 18 from the Sohna Chowk area. The stolen motorcycle was also recovered from their possession. PTI Cor VN VN
