We are about a week away from watching iOS 16 for the first time as WWDC 2022 approaches. According to the observations, the next major upgrade to the iPhone and iPad operating systems will include major improvements such as redesigned alerts, additional capabilities, and improved multitasking for iPad users. Now is your time to tell us which reported the most anticipated iOS 16 version.
When it comes to the user interface, iOS 16 should keep the same design as iOS 15 – so do not expect big design changes as in iOS 7. However, this does not mean that there will not be available have any exciting new features coming. with updates. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, iOS 16 will bring significant improvements to the lock screen, including widget capabilities.
These widgets will allow users access to information such as weather and battery level directly from the lock screen, as is already possible with home screen widgets. These lock screen widgets should be part of the new “regular display” mode for the iPhone 14 Pro models later this year Apple is also working on a refurbished notification system. Details are not clear at this point, but 9to5Mac has learned that this includes new options in Focus Mode. Likewise, iOS 16 will also incorporate new features to native Apple applications such as News and Health.
More recently, Mark Gurman also announced that “more social networking” will be available on iMessage. More importantly, the reporter expects new features by sending audio. iOS 16 also hopes to introduce new AR / VR technologies that will be the basis for Apple’s new virtual reality headset. Apple recently confirmed that iOS 16 will include newer features, including live titles, Apple Watch mirrors, and door access.
As for iPad users, the iPadOS 16 is rumored to bring even more multitasking capabilities to the iOS tablet version. Apple is experimenting with new ways to let users open and resize two or more applications at the same time in iPadOS. Recent additions to the WebKit infrastructure on GitHub indicate support for a new “multitasking mode” that will allow for windows that are also freely available on iPadOS. Updates indicate that iPadOS will feature a new toggle program for enabling “multitasking mode” with the app windows.
Personally, I can’t wait for the redesigned lock screen – which looks pretty much the same from the early days of the iPhone. And as I also have an Android phone here, I see how far behind the iOS notification system is compared to the competition. For example, it would be nice to have a key to be reminded of a notification at a later time. But what about you? Let us know in the poll and in the comments section below. As a reminder, the opening theme of WWDC 2022 will take place on Monday, June 6, at 10 PT.
