When people die, Apple to let people do it on their iCloud data

In iCloud after their deaths, Apple’s Digital Legacy system allows iPhone users to send one or more contacts to access and retrieve data. The program was first announced at Apple’s WWDC event earlier this year.

These ‘Legacy Contacts’ after providing proof of death and access key features will automatically get access to the data stored on iCloud.

“If your selected contacts provide proof of death to Apple and they have the required key, they will automatically gain access to an account data and the activation lock will be removed from all your devices,” according to the page.
