During the unannounced Samsung event, WhatsApp said it will soon be possible to transmit messages between iOS and Android devices, starting with Samsung Galaxy phones. With the most recent beta upgrades to WhatsApp, the ability to spread messages is starting to come out. Messages can be sent across iPhones or Android smartphones, making it easy to maintain discussions after an update. However, migrating from iOS to Android, or vice versa, has resulted in the loss of chat history.
As reported by Engadget, WhatsApp is capable of exporting and importing messages between devices. Launched in the coming weeks, the ability to import messages will first start on Samsung Galaxy phones, especially those on Android 10 or newer. Finally, you will be able to transfer your WhatsApp messages freely between phones, regardless of who made them. In the first preview screenshots shared via WhatsApp, we found that importing messages can only work when you set up a new device on your account. This is not an easy task in the WhatsApp section, requiring collaboration from OS developers and phone operators to transfer encrypted messages efficiently, securely, voice notes, and photos.
Our Insight Apk team has found the icons of WhatsApp Import / Export feature in Android’s “Data Recovery Tool”, suggesting that it will be in Settings> Chat> Transfer Conversations to Android. That combination suggests that Google is adding its effects to making it easier than ever to switch to Android from iOS. Update 8/16: According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp beta for iOS has started rolling out the ability to transfer chat messages between devices. Once you have reached your device, in the “Chats” app of the app, you will find a new “Transfer chats to Android” option.
However, for now, the option does not seem to work as well yet. The current belief is that you may need the “Switch to Android” application for iOS, or maybe an updated version of Google Data Recovery Tool on a Samsung phone. If you are able to get WhatsApp messages transfer from iOS to Android to work, let us know in the comments.
