Verizon and Apple are expected to offer Apple News + for free for six more months on any network-activated iPad. The official announcement is expected to arrive later this week, and the offer will be available to anyone with an Apple ID who has not used the service before (via 9to5 Mac).
Six months of free Apple News + with Verizon
It is understood that there will only be one redemption per Verizon account and that the network will send emails to customers to whom the offer applies. Once the initial trial period has ended, a customer will be automatically billed if he has not canceled the service. An official announcement is expected on Thursday.
Apple News + normally costs $ 9.99 per month and provides approximately 300 magazines and newspapers. It can also be viewed by up to six people via family sharing.
