Tim Cook Was Second-Highest Paid U.S. CEO in 2019

Tim Cook was the second-highest-paid CEO of a U.S. company in 2019, according to the latest data from Bloomberg Compensation Index. He was only overtaken by Elon Musk.

Mr. Cook stood up from the fourth in second place in the salary ranking in 2019. He benefited from a stock subsidy he received in 2011. In total, the Apple boss won a combined package worth $ 133,727,869 .

Four of the top 10, including Mr. Cook, were technical executives. Tesla and Space X boss Musk dominated the stack for the second year in a row. Meanwhile, Alphabet boss Sundar Pinchai was paid $ 86,162,752, mainly in stock options, while Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella paid $ 77,289,149, of which 64 millions of dollars were in stock.
