Over the weekend, Apple used its main home page to pay tribute to longtime senior civil rights activist and congressman John Lewis. Representative Lewis died on Friday at the age of 80. He walked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and was first elected to Congress in 1986, where he represented the 5th district of Georgia.

Apple’s home page featured a photo of the late congressman, alongside his famous quote:
Never be afraid to make noise and get into trouble, necessary trouble.
Senior Apple executives also paid tribute. “We have lost an American hero,” tweeted CEO Tim Cook.
Lisa Jackson, the vice president who leads Apple’s efforts to address racial inequality, paid tribute. She shared a picture of the message that Representative Lewis had left her in her successful book Walking with the Wind.
In addition, Ms. Jackson changed her profile photo to an image of Representative Lewis after he was arrested when he was young.
