Quibi lost 90% of the first users after the expiration of their free trials. This is according to data from Sensor Tower, reported by The Verge.
According to the company’s new report on Quibi’s early growth, the short video platform recruited about 910,000 users in the first days of April. Of these users, only about 72,000 stayed after the three-month free trial, indicating that the app had a conversion rate of around 8%. It’s not so bad. But compare it to the most successful debut in the streaming video industry in recent years, Disney Plus, and the resulting picture is bleak for Quibi.
