The vice-president of retail and employees at Apple reportedly told employees that “many more” Apple Stores would reopen in May. Deirdre O’Brien made comments to employees in a weekly video update (via Bloomberg News).
More Apple stores reopen in May
The company “continues to analyze the health situation in all locations, and I believe we will reopen many more stores in May,” O’Brien told staff. So far, the Apple Store in Seoul, South Korea is the only one outside of China to reopen after it closed due to the coronavirus epidemic. O’Brien previously told employees that she expects some of the company’s retail outlets in the United States to reopen in May. These latest comments indicate that the company is still comfortable with this schedule.
