At some point in the history of iOS, Apple activated the default emoji keyboard on iPhones and iPads. But for future reference, I think it’s a good idea to know how to do it manually.

You will find these settings in the same location on iOS and iPadOS.
Now that the emoji keyboard is activated, you can use it by pressing the Smiley icon on the keyboard.
