Google’s ‘Fabricius’ Tool Uses ML to Decode Hieroglyphs

Here’s something great that Google has created: a web tool called “Fabricius” that uses machine learning to decipher hieroglyphs.

Until now, experts have had to manually search through books to translate and decipher the ancient language – a process that has remained virtually unchanged for over a century. Fabricius includes the first digital tool – which is also published in open source to support new developments in the study of ancient languages ​​- which decodes Egyptian hieroglyphs based on machine learning.
