GitHub Codespaces Lets You Code Visual Studio on an iPad

GitHub has a new tool it is working on called Code Spaces. It gives you a complete Visual Studio coding experience in a browser. This means that it can run on an iPad, Mac and PC.

Codespaces sets up a VS Code environment hosted in the cloud, containerized and customizable. After configuration, you can connect to a code space via the browser or via VS Code.

I think this is exciting news. I have no programming experience, but one of the arguments in the debate over “replacing the iPad computer” is that developers can’t code on it.
