The Los Angeles Metro has said TAP transit cards will work with Apple Pay later this year, reports MacRumors. The facility was to be deployed at the end of last year.
Los Angeles Metro said last year that he was working with Apple to add mobile payment support for iPhones by the end of 2019, but the rollout has not taken place and work is continuing on the transition. In a tweet today, the Los Angeles metro said that support for TAP cards by iPhone and Apple Watch will arrive sometime in 2020. Los Angeles has been working on revamping its TAP system, introducing boxes improved tariffs with real-time data on tariffs purchased online and develop a new TAP mobile application that allows payments and management of TAP accounts.
