AAPL clears $ 2 trillion threshold
AAPL stock opened the day at $ 463.94 per share, before climbing to more than $ 467 per share. The steady rise in the value of Apple shares over the past few days has also seen CEO Tim Cook become a billionaire for the first time (via CNN Company). It comes as the company has tried to balance slowing iPhone sales with additional offerings in the service sector.
Apple first crossed the $ 1 trillion threshold in August 2018. It fell below, before returning in September 2019. The company posted positive results in the last quarter, and the AAPL share price has generally continued to increase since then, which has led to historic moment.
