Meanwhile, nearly 90% of Peacock Premium, Apple TV +, and HBO Max subscribers also subscribe to Netflix. As for other services, 85% of Hulu, Prime Video, and Disney + subscribers also subscribe to Netflix.
How people associate Netflix with other streaming services
Digging a little deeper, the data shows that 91% of Apple TV + subscribers also subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, and nearly 80% also subscribe to Hulu and Disney +. Meanwhile, 82% of Disney + subscribers also had Prime Video and 70% also had Hulu.
The data supports the theory that streaming fans are not abandoning established players for newcomers, but rather creating their own bundles, with Netflix widely seen as essential. The data also suggests that users aren’t heading to free, ad-supported versions of a service, with the exception of Peacock’s free tier. Reelgood allows users to put all of their streaming services in one place. The data comes from the 2 million US users of the subscribed service.
