It is the result of a kernel error when most users report that when they watch an HDR video on YouTube in Safari or Chrome, and then scroll down to the definitions, the 2021 MacBook Pro falls.
This is when running the latest version of macOS Monterey, 12.0.1.
The problem occurs almost all the time, a user complains about the MacRumors forum, and even occurs in Safe Mode. It appears to devices specifically with 16GB of RAM, but even those with 32GB or 64GB are not completely storage.
“I continue to get kernel crashes when watching HDR videos on Youtube and scrolling through comments,” conference user Cababah wrote.
“Does anyone else have this problem? I wonder if it is a related application in case I may need to restore but I have been able to repair it a few times in a row and the whole machine will Reboot each time. No bueno… ”
The issue can also occur when the user logs in and then leaves full screen mode on YouTube.
Users speculate that the problem may be due to AV1 conversion, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
This is not the first bug to overwhelm Apple and the new expensive laptop. The first word reported is, menu items to keep behind the notch.
