Users can now unlock their iPhones using masks thanks to a new iPhone update

IPhone owners will be able to unlock their devices while wearing the screen for the first time. It was part of a new update released by Apple on Monday. The new feature, which is part of the iOS 15.4 update, allows users to use the Face ID while wearing the screen, but only if you have an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, according to Apple.

Apple says that to use the new feature, you will open the settings, then tap the Face ID and passcode. Then you will scroll down and turn on Face ID with a Screen. You will be prompted to turn this on, then you will click Use Face ID with a Screen. Prior to the update, the only way to unlock your iPhone while wearing a screen with Face ID requires an Apple Watch.

The new feature also allows users wearing glasses to scan their Face ID with a mask and glasses on. Under the Settings tab, you will enter the Face ID & Passcode. From there, you can select Add glasses. Copyright 2022 Scripps Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This application may not be published, distributed, republished, or distributed.
