I have a MacBook and a MacPro with 2 external drives connected to the MacPro. One external drive is for the “current job” while the other attached drive is strictly backup. I would like to set the backup drive as a backup for my MacBook’s internal drive, MacPro’s internal drive and the “current work” drive. I am confused on the correct way to do it.
On the MacPro (connected directly to 2 external drives) I should select the backup drive for the time machine and allow the time machine to format it as needed. So, for the MacBook to see the backup drive, would I need to share it from the MacPro and set it as the destination drive for the time machine?
