In a short interview with Fox News, Apple CEO Tim Cook discussed the social responsibility of technology platforms and the potential return of Parler.
In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Cook reiterated Apple’s position on the ongoing battle between the owners of the platform and hate speech. Apple continues to be deeply involved and actively make decisions following its decision to remove Parler from the App Store due to severe moderation issues.
Cook on Parler
In a previous interview, Cook said that Parler may return to the App Store once it begins following Apple’s Terms of Service. During his Sunday interview, he reiterated the same point.
Wallace asked if Apple and other tech companies are restricting free speech. Cook points out that the App Store is a private platform with its own rules.
