I’m not going to give me hope, but it looks like Apple can finally get rid of the stupid and much-hated Touch Bar on its 2021 MacBook Pro.
According to trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to replace the Touch Bar featured in its current MacBook crop and instead revert to physical keys (among other things) for the MacBook line. I like to think that this much-requested modification is due to the exact suggestion I made in my review of the 13-inch MacBook Pro last year. (Yes, I am taking the credit.)
Regardless, the Touch Bar is one of the more useless additions to the MacBook Pro, a feature that Apple stupidly first introduced in 2016. Sure, it sounds interesting, but it’s not very intuitive: adjusting things like volume and brightness it requires extra touches, and it’s not optimized for all apps as well.
