Adobe has come out with a software update for its Creative Cloud apps that fixes a serious problem that some Mac users were experiencing after updating to macOS Big Sur: CPU usage around 100%. Read on for details and how to get this Creative Cloud bug fix.
After updating to macOS Big Sur, some Mac users, apparently more with the 16-inch MacBook Pro, encountered an issue where Creative Cloud’s background processes were using nearly 100% of the CPU and the fans of the affected machines were working at full power.
Users noticed that it was the CCXProcess and CCLibrary background processes that caused the problem by checking the Activity Monitor.
Adobe tracked the problem down last week, and today a new update has a fix. Adobe employee Mariia confirmed that CCXProcess 4.1.3 is the update that includes the Creative Cloud bug fix.
You can check if you’ve received the update on your Mac by opening the Creative Cloud app for Mac> click Creative Cloud in the menu bar> About Creative Cloud.
