Samsung inadvertently uses iPhone to tweet the Galaxy Unpacked promotion

Samsung took a technology misstep on Wednesday when it posted a promotional tweet from an iPhone, the flagship phone made by a smartphone market rival.

The South Korean tech giant posted a teaser of its upcoming Unpacked hardware event on a Twitter account run by the US division of Samsung Mobile.

“As #SamsungUnpacked approaches, we are working hard to bring you some exciting news. What field of innovation and progress do you hope to see us reveal? “Samsung asks in the tweet.

A harmless message, it was the way the tweet was delivered that caused quite a stir online. Whoever posted the short missive on the Samsung account used an iPhone, an almost unforgivable offense in the eyes of diehard fans.
