Residents in Worcestershire should beware of Apple SMS scams

A hoax text message was sent to Worcestershire residents in an attempt to obtain personal and financial information. Individuals appearing as Apple sent fraudulent emails telling people that Apple Pay accounts had been suspended. “We have received a report of #scam texts claiming to be from @Apple,” said a Worcestershire Trading Standards spokeswoman. The notification tells you that your account has been suspended and redirects you to a website for additional information.
