Microsoft has been developing on a new security application for some time and has recently released a training for Windows Insiders to try, however there are some limitations to be aware of. The Microsoft Protective App, which is available for Windows, Android, and iOS, helps protect your data and devices against online threats such as malware and phishing attacks for you and your family.
What makes this new application so useful is that you will be able to view and manage your online security by viewing a central dashboard, across you and your family’s various devices. Because this is an early review, you will be able to view only your family devices in the Windows application for now. Microsoft Defender Preview is also currently available for US users only (in English), but will be available in languages and regions in due course. The macOS version is still under development but there is no word on when that will be released yet.
