I bought this laptop because it had the dreaded Radeon startup problem. I disabled the Radeon using UBUNTU, removed the resistor, etc. And it worked fine. The battery was in good condition when I checked so I created a new user, deleted the original user, installed Chrome, logged into iTunes, and connected my iPhone for syncing. That’s when I got a warning in iTunes that there was a newer version and it needed to be updated. Then I took the spinning beachball and locked it up. I forced the PRAM to stop and reset and now it will never come back. I pressed the power button, it rings, then the power LED turns on and then off. The display never turns on. The keyboard backlight eventually turns on, so I have the caps lock light. I tried to enter my password blindly and hit Enter and found that I get the error sound when I hit Enter.
