when I first boot to my MBP, I notice that Finder shows my iPhone on the left with a spinning icon. Somehow it’s updating my iPhone backup. I can’t turn it off. there appears to be a ck box in the Finder to do this; is stated to be ON but I cannot set it = OFF. I could also say that in the Finder the iPhone icon seems to come and go by itself as well. Normally I have BT set = OFF on the MBP. Both MBP and iPhone are on the same LAN.
Not great but I don’t want the iPhone to automatically update a known stable backup
How can I keep my backup with manual methods?
