There has been speculation in recent months that the next iPhone, supposedly a 5G model, may be delayed due to supply chain coronavirus outages. However, no element of the supply chain was informed of a production delay.
IPhone 5G could still arrive as expected
Manufacturers of printed circuit boards (PCBs) in Taiwan have denied allegations that they were told to delay production of components by volume. This indicates that the next generation of iPhone could still be released around September, the time of year when Apple was known to announce a new device. While this is encouraging, it is worth approaching this information with caution, as the coronavirus pandemic has been more difficult to follow such orders.
