First, let me tell you there may be a setting for this that I have searched but not found.
I like the functionality offered by the native calendar widget, especially the longer one which quickly lists several upcoming events. The problem is that anyone who has the device in hand can also access that informationon. No authentication is required (Face ID or other). Just swipe the screen. Maybe not a big deal to some, but you might not want a nosy at the office to know that you have a job interview in two days or a date with a [fill in specialty] medical professional next week. The office situation is just one example as I don’t always pick up the phone when I walk away from my desk at work, but you have an idea.
Notification contents (text messages, missed call numbers / contacts, etc) are hidden until it unlocks and I thought it applied to calendar contents.
