The latest version of its mobile device launched in September is a modification made as part of Apple’s redesign of its Weather application for iOS 15. You will need to be updated to the latest version of iOS – which can check in the Settings menu, under General and then Software Update, to activate the weather alert. You can choose to receive notifications about incoming rain, hail or ice, as soon as you update a new feature.
Here’s how to do it:
Tap Settings, scroll down to Privacy and tap Local Services.
Scroll down from the Weather and tap on it. Then, tap the status setting for Always.
For more accurate results, scroll to the Reference mode option.
From there, exit the Settings menu and open the Weather application directly.
Tap the menu item at the bottom right (three icons and three horizontal lines) and you will see the ‘Stop Dry’ option in a box at the top.
Click ‘Turn Notifications’ to set alerts.
