Google finally adds app privacy labels to the Gmail app

Google today silently added app privacy labels to its Gmail app, marking the first of its major apps to receive privacy details besides YouTube.

While app privacy informationon has been added to Gmail, Google has done so on the server side and has yet to release an update to the Gmail app. It’s been two months since the last update of the Gmail app.

In early February, the Gmail app was showing warnings about the outdated app as it’s been a long time since new security features were added, but Google deleted that message without sending an update to the app.
