Foxconn receives license in Vietnam for its $ 270 million plant that will produce MacBooks and iPads

Earlier today (January 18, 2021), the Vietnamese government just granted Foxconn a license to install its US $ 270 million plant. The new site will produce laptops and tablets, as per a new report.

According to a Reuters report, the new plant will be developed by Fukang Technology and is located in the northern Bac Giang province. It will be responsible for producing up to eight million units annually according to a local government statement. Foxconn Technology, the well-known Apple supplier, has already invested approximately US $ 1.5 billion in Vietnam and aims to recruit over 10,000 additional local workers this year.
