For Voice Messages, Beta-Spy Test on iOS, WhatsApp Works on Playback Speed Feature

One feature that will speed up audio messages while they are playing back, WhatsApp is working on it. While they are playing back, they will work in a way similar to the way audio notes can speed up to 1.5x or 2x. Essentially a forwarding note or any other audio message that the sender does not record when sending is a voice message. It is speculated that Android devices may receive the feature as soon as the features are tested on iOS devices.

WhatsApp features WABetaInfo tracker has found that Meta instant messaging service works on a feature that will allow users to increase playback speeds for all voice messages and not just voice notes. As mentioned, this feature is found on the iOS version of the application and is considered to reach Android devices well.

Feature Tracker does not provide any information on when this feature will be released to users of the Stability feature, as it is also being tested in beta. WABetaInfo mentions that users will have to increase the playback speed of any audio to 2x, similar to the playback feature available for audio notes. As mentioned earlier, an audio message is essentially a note of what was forwarded or any other sound that the sender did not record while sending.

Earlier this week, WhatsApp unveiled two new ways of securing an account on its platform. These new security features include flash calls and message level traffic. Veterans will allow users to register their account via automated call in addition to text messaging. Flash calling method is currently available for Android users only. Through message level traffic, users can report reports by ticking a specific message. This can be done by typing a specific length of message to either report or block a user.
