For Mac and iOS, Algoridim’s djay Pro AI incorporates digital file management compatibility

Many digital DJs love the feeling of vinyl in their programming, opting for instruments and devices that play digital vinyl (DVS). Today, Algoridim’s djay Pro AI joins that group, albeit with a few exceptions. DVS will not only support iOS devices in addition to Macs, but the control panel will also feature a unique B-Side with three ‘tracks’ that use Mix Neural power to separate the fruit from any music. This way, you can drop a needle on one track for the original version, two tracks per application, and track three for acapella, all of which you can get back on the fly from any song.

While DVS support is new for djay Pro AI on Mac, the addition of iPhones and iPads with this capability is extremely unique. These devices should be able to transmit control audio via any class-compatible USB mixer or controller connected to analog turntables and using Neural Mix control discs. And you can map things like work pads and topics using your MIDI training tool, but djay Pro AI supported applications should work out-of-the-box. This software update also offers an optimized user interface for iOS devices that should automatically update when connected to a DJ application.

In addition to the DVS features, this update includes a few tweaks to your interest. You can now edit playlists from linked streaming accounts like TIDAL, SoundCloud, Beatport and Beatsource from the djay Pro AI app. Also mentioned are the new AI audio effects and the Pitch Cue / Tone Ring feature that allows you to use ad target areas for more powerful mixing.

New software is available today and existing djay Pro AI users will be automatically updated with all available features. New subscribers can test the Pro version for seven days and pay $ 7 per month or $ 50 per year after that. Mobile users will need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 12 or later and macOS users will need 10.14 or later. Pricing and availability for Neural Mix control fins is also pending, although we know it will be manufactured and distributed by Stokyo. We were told that most disks with 1kHz time code should work, although, so you should be able to use DVS (without the Neural Connector B features) immediately.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
