Finally, one of the most anticipated tools Apple can find

Poor old AirPower. The company announced in 2019 that the popular wireless charging pad, officially launched, is in the midst of a rare defeat for Apple. The company decided to shut down the project, unable to operate a 3-in-1 charging system thanks to heating issues. Apple has not released on AirPower yet, a new report suggests it.

Like the time of Apple leaker Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a spiritual successor to AirPower that can charge multiple devices such as the iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch at once. It seems like the on / off function is a lot again – but can you go for the best wireless charger assembly anytime soon?

As seen by MacRumors, Gurman said in its Power On newsletter that Apple “also plans to release a charging device that can charge all three products at the same time.” And as well as the success of AirPower, Gurman said Apple is working on “short and long wireless charging applications” and that the company is “thinking” the future where all its major devices can charge each other. In short, after years of rumors, the reversal of power may finally become a reality.

Rumors about AirPower have refused to let up since Apple announced it in 2017, and even after the company apparently pulled the plug two years later. Last year Apple leaker Jon Prosser “revealed” that AirPower was coming back, with a slightly tweaked design that saw the charging cable move to the side of the pad. This is said to be coming in 2020 which, like many Prosser dancers, is a reality.

Whether or not the new form of AirPower is released at the moment for the iPhone 14, it seems we are still looking at a suitable replacement for the iPhone 13 this year – check out all the iPhone 14 packages we have seen so far.
