Filming of the Apple series “Truth be Told” has stopped amid protests

Filming on the second season of the Apple TV crime drama “Truth Be Told” was suspended after local protesters showed up to oppose the use of a Los Angeles park.

Protesters had turned up to protest the use of South LA’s historic Leimert Plaza Park, which had previously been banned for the homeless population of Los Angeles during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ten “Truth Be Told” crew members were on site when the protests began. Filming was forced to finish at 3pm when the situation escalated.

The Los Angeles film office, FilmLA, has confirmed the events. “I understand the production company hit its set for the evening around 5pm,” a spokesperson for the organization said.
