Facebook is today rolling out an update to its “Access Your Information” tool to make it easier to use and to better explain how the data is used, reports TechCrunch.
“Access Your Information” provides a detailed look at the informationon shared about you on Facebook. The updated version is organized into eight categories: your Facebook activity, personal informationon, friends and followers, registered informationon, security and login informationon, apps and websites outside Facebook, ad informationon and preferences.
Within each category, the informationon is organized into sub-categories to make it easier to find the data you are looking for, with the tool being able to be used to remove the data as well.
Search functionality is now included so you can find something specific like “location” and there’s more informationon on how Facebook uses data to personalize the Facebook experience.
