Facebook is warning business users on its platform that the new privacy features in iOS 14 could “have a significant impact” on their marketing and advertising efforts.
The social media giant has criticized the upcoming privacy changes, which will explicitly trigger a specific tracking tag, in a blog post and full-page newspaper ads.
Now, it appears that Facebook is using banners in Facebook Business Suite and Facebook Ad Manager on iOS to deliver its message.
The banners in both apps now state that “Apple has announced changes to products and policies that could have a significant impact on how you can serve ads, measure performance and engage customers.”
In early 2020, Facebook estimated that ad revenue could drop by between 50% and 60% due to new privacy features. Since then, Facebook has repeatedly tried to target Apple and vice versa.
