Everything New on your iPhone with Apple’s iOS 15.5 Update

iOS 15.5, the most recent iPhone software update, was released two weeks ago, and you may have noticed some new features and upgrades on your iPhone. There are a few things you are missing out on if you have not yet downloaded the iOS update. The sequel to iOS 15.4 brings a few minor application changes and enhancements, setting the stage for future iPhone releases (perhaps in the form of iOS 16). Instead of major new features such as Global Control and Face-to-Face ID, iOS 15.5 focuses on minor tweaks to Apple Cash, Photo Memories, and Podcast applications, to name a few.

The biggest performance change was 15.5 in the inclusion of Send and Request keys for Apple Cash. With these buttons in iOS 15.5, you can receive and send money directly from your Apple Cash card, saving you a few steps for those transactions. A new feature in iOS 15.5 lets you change settings in the podcast application to better manage your phone storage. The program allows you to limit the events saved on your phone and can automatically delete your adult events. iOS 15.5 tweaks function Memories of Photos. Photos will not represent Memories from the “attention deficits,” which 9to5Mac notes are related to the current Holocaust. Apple may expand the list of those locations in the future.

Another change is that the iTunes Pass feature for the wallet is renamed Apple Balance. You will now find a separate card in the Apple Wallet for Apple Balance, similar to the one shown on your credit card. There is no Apple Classical application in iOS 15.5. But MacRumors found references to Apple’s new Classical app in beta 15.5 that looks set to be the final game for Apple’s acquisition of Primephonic classical music streaming service last year. Future iOS updates may include a stand-alone application for classical music. iOS 15.5 also offers more support for SportsKit as Apple integrates soccer into its content catalog.
