DrChrono’s open FHIR API allows patients to add electronic health records to Apple Health Records

DrChrono, the creator of an open and mobile-friendly EHR platform and other practice management software, has launched an open FHIR API that will enable seamless transfer of patient data from the company’s OnPatient health record (PHR) to Apple Health, iPhone-based PHR launched by the tech giant in 2018.

Now, patients using the two platforms will not need to download and access the OnPatient app to consolidate their health informationon, Daniel Kivatinos, COO and cofounder of DrChrono, told MobiHealthNews.
