Complete shoot on iPhone 13 Pro, Apple debuts 2021 holiday ‘Save Simon’

In the direction of Oscar nominations Jason Reitman and his father Ivan Reitman, Apple has announced the company’s 2021 holiday announcement “Saving Simon.” On the iPhone 13 Pro, a 3 minute short film was taken. Video takes a big leap forward with Cinematic mode for deep field transitions, macro video, time-lapse and Slo-mo, and even excellent low light performance, and they all come with the iPhone 13 Pro.

Both models also offer stream-to-end pro in Dolby Vision, and for the first time, ProRes, is only available on the iPhone.

Following a great deal of cinematic training and the use of rack focus, Cinematic mode on the iPhone records videos of people, pets, and objects with a beautiful depth effect with auto focus changes, so anyone can play custom movie moments, even if they are not ‘t professional filmmaker. For creation control, focus can change during and after recording, and users can also adjust bokeh level in the Photos and iMovie application for iOS, and in iMovie for macOS and Final Cut Pro, making the recording of devices only able to edit field-depth effect in video even after recording. Powered by A15 Bionic and advanced machine learning algorithms, Cinematic position recordings in Dolby Vision HDR.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also introduce ProRes, an advanced video codec widely used as the ultimate delivery format for commercials, feature films, and broadcasts, to provide high color accuracy and reduction less. This powerful new pro work stream is powered by a new camera application, advanced codecs and decoders in the A15 Bionic, and a long line of flash storage. The iPhone is the only smartphone in the world to provide end-to-end streaming – Capture, edit, and share in Dolby Vision or ProRes.
