Ball State men’s basketball beat central Michigan in the MAC match

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State men’s basketball faced central Michigan for the first time this season and overtook the Chippewas with a 97-91 win.

In what was the sixth consecutive Cardinals game played inside the Worthen Arena, the team of coach James Whitford took a second consecutive victory. BSU led by one point at half-time after a 3 from second-year guard Luke Bumbalough in the waning seconds, and in the second half he was led by an impressive 11 points before winning by six. And now, with only two games remaining before the Mid-American Conference tournament, Ball State has improved to 9-11 overall and 7-8 against MAC.
